How to delete in Procreate?

First, let’s start with the basics: find eraser tool.

It is located at the height of the pictogram tires at the top right of the screen, between the finger tool and the layer stack. When you click on it, you have access to the same library of brushes as from the Brush tool.

Useful Shortcuts to Know If you have an Apple Pencil, you can switch from the brush tool to the eraser tool by double-clicking your Pencil. This shortcut is very useful when you are focused on precision work.

I can’t delete in Procreate, what should I do?

While you are working hard, suddenly your eraser not working. Let us see what can be the different reasons behind this problem.

Eraser opacity is zero

The most common mistake is having thezero eraser opacitybecause it happens that we change it without realizing it during our work.

To check the opacity of the eraser, go to the wheel at the bottom left of your screen. If it’s up, the opacity is 100%, if it’s down, the opacity is 0%, and so your draft no longer works.

The selected draft is an organic draft.

Some brushes in the library produce material effects and therefore their opacity is not not optimal for deleting. If you want to erase in a more striking way, I invite you to choose an eraser such as the airbrush or the technical style. This way it will be easierdelete in Procreate.

Your pen has run out of battery

The last reason that can explain your Problems with the draft in Procreateis that your stylus is empty: therefore neither the eraser nor the brush work!

That’s all, I hope this article has been useful to you, do not hesitate to share it or comment on it ๐Ÿ™‚
