Make Obama’s Hope poster using Photoshop
In this tutorial, I’m going to show you the super easy steps on how you can create artwork in the same style as the Obama Hope poster in Adobe Photoshop on your own face.
Welcome to this new tutorial, which does not know the famous OBAMA’s HOPE poster, in this tutorial we will make this poster using Photoshop and your own face.
And here is a preview of the final result
To start the job, open a new document from 1000 × 1500 pixels, resolution 72dpi, colors RGB.
In our tutorial we will be using the Steve jobs image, if you want to use your own image make sure it’s in Black and white.
Then add a gradient fill layer by going to Menu> Layer> New fill layer> Gradient, with the following parameters:
Then open the image of Steve jobs in another document and crop it using the quick selection tool (w).
Then import the selection into your working document and adjust it like this.
After, go to Menu> Filters> Gallery of filters> Artistic> Cropping.
Now take the magic wand tool (W) and click on the second gray tone to retrieve its selection.
Then create a new layer (Ctrl + Shift + N), and go to Menu> Layer> Layer mask> Show selection.
Click on the thumbnail of the layer you just created, take the paint bucket tool (G), and fill the bottom with gray 50% (# 808080).
Then go to Menu> Filter> Filter gallery> Sketch> Halftone screen . (Make sure the foreground color is always gray 50% and White for the background color).
Which gives you the following result.
Then add a Layer Mixer adjustment layer by going to Menu> Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Layer Mixer.
In the same way add another isohelia adjustment layer .
Then add a gradient transfer curve settings layer by going to Menu> Layer> New Adjustments Layer> Gradient Transfer Curve With the following parameters:
Then take the rectangle tool (U) and draw a blue rectangle (# 00324d) at the bottom as shown in the picture below.
Then create a new layer and fill it with White, then go to the merge options. (Menu> Layer> Layer Style> Blend Option)
After that add your text using Nevis handwriting font and color # 7498a4
Finally, create a new layer, take the brush tool (B), and paint at the edges to correct imperfections.
