How to join two nodes in inkscape?

The new node tool, introduced in Inkscape 0.48, can handle several path. There’s no new join menu, but you can join nodes from two path by selecting the paths, the nodes you want to join, and use the ‘Join selected nodes’ button in the node tool bar. The two nodes are joined and the two path combined.
