How to join letters in inkscape?

Open Inkscape.
Type your text.
Change the font, the fill color to none, and the stroke to black.
With the text selected, go to Path > Union.
Your text is now welded.
To save it as an SVG so you can use it as a cutting file, click on File > Save As.
