Evernote data is stored both locally and in the cloud. This is the beauty of cloud (remote server) technologies. A copy of my data is stored on Evernote’s servers and backed up by them. However, unlike some other cloud services (e.g., Google Calendar), my data is also stored locally on my hard drive.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
From the note list, tap the options button (three dots) to view more options. Tap Select notes, then select the note(s) you want to duplicate. Tap the options button (three dots) again, then tap Duplicate. A copy of the note is created in the same notebook as the original.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Select Edit -> Select All from the menu bar. Select File -> Export Notes… from the menu bar. In the Save dialog, make sure Evernote XML (. enex) is selected in the Format dropdown and give the export file an identifiable name.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

While OneNote is by no means unpleasant to use, Evernote is more user-oriented. Its search and organization are better handled. Navigate to the notebook you want to save, right click on it, and click the Save a copy option. Note: If a dialogue box appears asking for you to allow OneNote to access your info, click Yes to continue. The Save a copy dialogue box will open. In the Windows client, you can select all of the notes in a notebook, right-click on the list and use “Copy Notes” to copy them to another notebook. Alternatively you could export a notebook to Evernote format, and import the resulting . enex file back in to another notebook (source notebook is not saved in .<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
With a note displayed, press and hold your finger on a word. Tap the Copy button. On the popover that appears, tap the Paste button. If you want to select all text in a note to either delete or copy it, tap the Select All button on the toolbar.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
