- Open any email app that uses the same email address that you’ve configured for use with OneNote.
- In the To: field of the email, type firstname.lastname@example.org.
- In the Subject: field, type a brief description of the note you’re sending.
- Click Send.

The error suggests that your My Site isn’t fully provisioned yet. Try going to https://www.onenote.com/notebooks and sign into your account. This should complete site provisioning so your default notebook is fully created. Try sending another email after taking this step.
